Moss is a plant which has a very high diversity. Differences in reproductive strategies and variation of morphological adaptation, moss plants can arrange all the parts of the world, from desert heat to the Arctic and Antarctic zones.
Warming (1896) and Smith define the forms of life (life form) as a habit of plants, moss plants in harmony with the conditions of life.
Based on observations made by Gianenhagen (1910) and Herzorg (1916) in Smith (1982), moss plants in the tropics and possessed traits - traits as follows:
One. Annual. Example: Diphyscium and Riccia.
2. Short grass (Short turfs). Example: Trichostomum and Marsupella.
3. Grass height (Tall turfs). Example: Polytrichum and Bazzania f. trilobata grandis.
4. Pads (cushions). Examples in class musci: Andreaea, Grimmia, Amphidium, Orthotricum, and Plagiophus.
5. Like mat (Mats). Example: Plagithecium and Lophocoela.
6. Like threads woven (Wefts). Example: Hypnaceae, and Bazzania.
7. Hang (Pendants). Example: Meteoriacaeae and Frullania (F. atrata, F. convoluta).
8. Like tails (Tails). Example: Prionodon and Scistichila sp.
9. As Fan (Fans). Example: Neckeraceae and Bropteris.
10. Like Trees (Dendroid). Example: Rhodobryum and Hymenophytum flabeatun.
Note: All examples that I wrote is the representation of the class and bryopsida hepaticopsida. In fact there are many examples of other species of moss and bryopsida hepaticopsida class.
